Astra is seen wandering about in Ul'dah, posting a couple more help wanted fliers on the various help and quest boards. She needed more willing bodies to come with her. Signage was simple with methods of contacting her. She made her way to the quicksands, sitting at a table, with a cup of tea. Today, she would spend the time here until the business of gathering picked up. 

The morning came and went, and majority of visitors were the brass blades, who had no means for her.

By the time the sun hung high in the sky, a young blonde girl trailed by a small blue carbuncle had found one of the posters and torn it off the wall. She was now excitedly carrying it to the Quicksand, though not before thoroughly showing it to her magic companion, much to it's utter non-reaction. She could be seen asking Momodi about the flier, gesticulating to it happily before being directed towards Astra. She thanks the tavernkeep before heading over, walking into the woman's view and smiling.

"Oh! It's you, umm, Astra! You made me taste stars! Hiii! Umm, you put up these fliers?" She asks innocently enough, holding the paper up. "It sounds like fun! I wanna help!"

Astra looked up from one of the books in her hands "Greetings Lucatiel,"Astra eye shifted to the flier in hand."I sure did put them up," Here eyes looked over Luca for a moment."I did not peg you much as an adventurer, or one to get yourself in harms way."

The girl blinks. "Oh, well umm... I've never gone on one before! But I really wanna! And I can heal people and cast magics, so I'll be fine! I really want to see the world and experience everything, so I figured going on an adventure would be great!" Her tone is cheery as ever and she sounds quite genuine.

Astra seemed worried for what it seemed like a moment, then closing her book, she took a sip of tea. "If adventure is what you seek, then adventure is what you will get." tapping the pen against the cup,"Did you have any question regarding the job?"

Lucatiel puts a finger to her mouth as she thinks. "Ummm.... Yeah! What is it we'll be doing? I actually have no idea!"

"The place we will be heading to is in ruin city very far from here. I want something from with in there, but since there is a bit of a trial, I cannot do it alone. If done right, treasures for those who come with."

The girl's eyes light up. "OOOOOH! Treasures! That sounds really cool! Oh man, I can't wait now! When are you going!?"

Astra chuckled,"I need a couple more people to join us, I have A'erina, and you now. Hopefully within this moon cycle. I also need to work on teleporting us there and back."

"Ohhh! Rina's coming too! Good! Oh. Teleporting? Is it really far away?" A wider smile crosses her face at the mention of a familiar name, though it's quickly masked by curiousity.

The viera popped open the book which was a journal, and made a couple scribbles. "It is a very far distance. I made mention of the trip to A'erina at the party, which I so happen to notice you were a miss. I did meet the the Yeti though. To my surprise, she is just a regular woman." She said with disappointment.

"Oh! You were at Luna's party!? Aww! I'm sorry! I was at a party in Limsa, cuz I didn't wanna ruin her fancy older people party! The one I went to had live music, and bright lights, and dancing!" She goes quickly from an apologetic frown to an excited smile, remembering the party. "Yeti? OH! You mean Luna! I don't know why people keep calling her that!"

Astra let out a snort of a laugh. "I am glad you enjoyed yourself. Sounds like a party!" scribbling again."I am not familiar with everyone enough to know their reasoning or logic behind the name calling. At times we will all face the hazing of this. I just expected this beautiful female Hrothgar, as I have passed one or two in my travels. So hearing something like "Yeti," I naturally thought this." She smiled at the young girl."Sorry to ask, but do you live in Ul'dah or make travels here frequently?"

"A female... Hrothgar? Whooooa.... What would they look like?" She begins imagining in her head though she is quickly brought back to reality. "Huh? Oh, no I don't live in Ul' Dah! I live in the Mist, in Limsa Lominsa! I just come here to people watch when I study a lot!"

Tret pushed his way into the bustling tavern, taking a moment to look about the room and find his mark. He was certainly looking less put together today, showing up in his undershirt, work pants, and dirt from a long ride through the desert and scrub. Mopping sweat from his brow with a kerchief, he soon spotted the telltale glow of an arcanist with her carbuncle and a familiar set of interesting ears. 

Tret raised his hankie towards them in passing greeting, then made it way to Momodi, as Luca had before. A brief bit of pleasantries were exchanged, and he was pointed... Towards the two he hailed earlier. He smiled incredulously and shook his head, muttering to himself as he made his way over "<Dicks in vinegar... really?>" Speaking up properly as he drew close, surprise turned to a beaming grin "Well hello there, you two! Sorry I didn't come right over when I saw you. Have to kiss the ring of the boss first, neh?"

Astra chuckled more at Luca,"You remind me of some of the young scholars I once knew."She sat happily in thought for a moment, watching as the Blue haired individual walked in, trying to to play interest, she simply nodded toward his direction before returning to Luca,"Whatever do you study? I assume you to be a bit of an arcanist, being able to summon a carbuncle."As she finished that statement, she now turned to their new arrival.
"Greetings,"her brow raised,"I would ask you what brings you here, but I'm more curious why you wish to kiss a ring?"

Tret snatched a chair from a nearby table and pulled it along, spinning it on one leg and sitting down at the table "Hm? Oh, no, nothing, nothing. So, there is a story being told about some woman that has offered a prize or something for a little exploration. Momodi over there says I should talk to one of you two. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it's you, Miss Huntress. What type of fun do you have planned?"

"A prize is a bit of an understatment." Astra shrugged, picking up the fountain pen, and taking a look over Tret then scribbling a few notes."I am no huntress, but a seeker of wisdom that is beyond the average comprehension of a mere magistrate. What man or woman would want the opportunity of treasures not seen by this lands. Thus I've been having a hard time with filling the roles needed. They find my tale to be a bit far fetch and maybe a lie."she sighed, leaning back."How do you fair with teleportation dear caregiver of the chocobos."

Lucatiel listens curiously as Astra talks to Tret. Mostly to herself does she wonder aloud. "Magistrate? Huh? O-oh! I study Arcanistry! Geometric patterns and formulae and stuff!" She idly picks up her Carbuncle, holding it in her arms like a small puppy, playing with it's paws as she continues to listen.

Astra looked over to Lucatiel with a warm smile,"Do you have a goal in mind with your studies? Become the greatest Geomancier that the lands have seen?"Naturally chuckling.

The girl blinks. "Umm... Noo. I just wanna help people! I'm also learning the healy side of it! I'm really just learning the more... hurty side to protect myself and others when I go to help them." There is a natural hesitation to the latter portion of what she says, the idea of combat or even just getting hurt making her uneasy.

Leaning forward, Tret rested his elbows on the table, broad grin settling to a small smile "You have said a lot of big and fancy words, but I am familiar with 'Far Fetched'. Very much. If you were planning on just taking people somewhere and killing them, you wouldn't be turning people down, so there's something to this. What roles do we need filled?" He glances up to Luca and raises a brow slowly, then looks back to Astra "...Definitely something."

With a long sigh,"Harm is not my intention, however, if one is to lose a limb on the adventure, then it is because they stuck their hand somewhere it does not belong."Astra looked over the two with a near sorrowful expression, but quickly centered herself,"If I could do it myself, I would. However there is a bit of a trial or test that must happen. And I am not sure what lurks in the depths."

"Well sure. Always a good idea to know what you're putting your hands in before you do so. But... What is it you're looking for in someone coming on this little trip?"

"At this point, muscle. Need the physical strong"Astra leaned back in her seat crossing her leg over the other."I have a arcanist"motioning to Luca,"A certain Miqo’te that enjoys playing with alchemy, granted, she maybe strong, but I really need brute force."

"Oh! Oh! Muscle!" The girl smiles, quickly putting out her arm and placing her other hand on it, flexing to show off... absolutely nothing. This girl has virtually no muscle mass.

Astra went to say something, but just watched Luca demonstration of her muscle mass. She began recalculating this poor girl.

"I... Hm. Alright. I'm not built like some, sure, but I spend  my week as a laborer, neh? At my worst, I'm still good to carry things. If we're expecting to be pushing and pulling and hauling things? ehhhh... Sure, I can do that. Though I will absolutely look for a more ahhhh... Efficient way?"

She scratched the back of her head,"What you carry, is completely optional for you. Whatever you want to bring with you, and have on you when you leave. Bring a empty bag, sure! But treasure of metal base does gave weight to it."

"Oooh, treasure! Umm... I can bring bandages and stuff like that! My little Carbuncle can carry a bag filled with them! Perfect for little scrapes and umm... bigger ones too! And then I can use healing magic for anything as well!" She holds up the creature in a sort of showing gesture. The Carbuncle, as ever, looks simultaneously fed up with everything and also completely disaffected.

Tret shakes his head "No, no, I mean... For the actual job. You've mentioned trials and tests, but its still very vague. I'm great at pushing and pulling things. I can worry about whats being brought back when the time comes." He looks back up to Luca, then down at the carbuncle. [I wonder if things could be stored in the carbuncle.... would that work? No, that's silly. but.... maybe?] He shook his head again and resumed his smile "Always good to have someone on hand for slips, trips, and falls."

Astra watched Luca, and just smiled,"That be a great help dear, and if anyone gets a little beat up, you can get some practice with repairing the injury"returning her attention back to Mr Blue-Hair, smile turning sheepish,"Frankly, I am unsure. But I figured with the right group, anything will be possible."

Lucatiel nods, eager at the idea of practicing as well as helping people. "And I can help fight! I... I think!" She falters in her confidence for just a moment, unsure of her capability.

leaning back on two legs on the chair, Tret closed his eyes and mused to himself "Anything eh.... rope then. Fair bit. prybar. shovel. Hammer maybe. light. some kind of pole. oil. chalk. And that's not thinking about weapons..." With a thump, Tret's chair came back down and he beamed at Astra again "Alright. I accept the job offer. When are we leaving?"

Wide eyes lock on to Tret as he recites adventuring gear, trying to make a mental note to herself for future reference.

Astra raised an eyebrow while Tret was listing unknown items. With a bit of a concerned look, she smiled,"Before the next moon, I need to prepare the teleportation ritual."Thinking for a moment,"Just don't pack to heavy."

"I'd rather bring things and not need them then get out in the middle of nowhere and really want some rope. Next moon, that's ... Right, got you. Just let me know ahead of time so I can make sure I'm ready to go."

She let out a sigh,"The more you bring the more I have to teleport."Lightly rubbing her forhead doing calculations, then looking between the two,"Yes, closer to the event, I will send you word, with a location to meet at."

"Oooh secret location! Ummm, I can bring stuff too! But I'm not as strong as Tret is." The girl balks a bit, though still smiling.

"I'm a light traveler, I promise. If I'm bringing it, it will be useful. You may have to teleport it, but I'll have to carry it, neh?" He turns his attention up to Luca and winks at her "Maybe you can helped with that though. I'm sure you're still strong enough to wear a backpack with a few things in it."

Lucatiel nods. "Yea! I'll wear one, and Carby will have a medical bag too!"

||From the Exit/Entrance to Pearl Lane, a few raised voice could be heard all of a sudden. Shortly after the doors swung open, revealing the source of the voices. One belonged to a highlander, gruff, rough and looked to be as dumb as a rock. The other, a Miqo'te with red hair who also looked as dumb as a rock.||

"Just do this one thing for me, please? How often do I ask for help off you? Also last time I asked you for a favour you put a friend of mine in danger. So that's an extra one you owe me."

||The highlander scratched the back of his head as the two made their way to Momodi for a drink.||

||"Rina, darlin', just words been gettin' around 'bout you, they're sayin' you're goin' soft. Said you met a fella an' that you ain't showin' up ta trade an'shit anymore."|| 

A'erina huffed at him.

"That's my business and no one else's. Who is they, anyroad? Did Balric not tell you what I did to three of his boys  the other week? Let them talk about me  'Bert, all I'm asking for is a favour, you owe me plenty enough as it is.

||The highlander sighed and patted the small Miqo'te.|| 

||"Fine, but just this once, a'ight?"||

Normally she would have attempted to cut a hand of or bite someone, but she led it slide this time. She glanced over at a table and saw a familiar trio aswell as a Carbuncle.

" Thanks... I mean it. But I suppose I better go and see what all this is about, you ain't the only one that im in demand for. "

A'erina walked on over to the group and kicked the leg of the chair which Astra was sitting on.

"What are you scheming now?"

Astra looked down at the carbuncle trying to imagine a backpack on it. She just blinked a couple times, but was distracted by the rowdy crew coming in. Her leporine ears catching the conversation clearly.

Once A'erina joined them, a cocky smiled etched her face even though her chair was messed with.
"Naturally your demise, and how many people owe you a 'favor?'"

"WHAT NO! I would never want to hurt Rina!" Lucatiel looks absolutely horrified, her gaze jerking between A'erina and Astra.

Tret's attention turned as well as the yelling couple entered, knowing one of them. as they kept walking, he turned back to the pair "Right then. While I'm thinking about it, what exactly is it we're going to be looking around? Are we outside, in a to-" He stops, looking up and smiling as their light party was filled "Ello, Rina."

waving off Luca's concern,"No harm will come to A'erina."Astra thought over Tret questions for a moment, but Astra explanation would be very dumb down, and simple, mild hand gestures,"Right, so we go to this place, go in, pass the trials, loot and come home."

"My demise hm? How about you ask your cards how I'm going out, because they ain't gonna tell you how, I know how im leaving and that's getting old. "

A'erina blows a raspberry like a child at Astra before offering a greeting to Tret and Lucatiel.

"Also that's none of ya business. Everyone owes me a favour. "

"Riiiiiiiina!" Lucatiel excitedly waves back to A'erina, despite her being all of a fulm away.

"Keep ya voice down, Lucatiel. Folks in the lane think I'm goin' soft for hanging out with nice people. Gotta maintain my image, y'know"

"Astra. What kind of Trials are we looking at? You said we need muscle and a healer. Are we expecting a fight as well? What is this 'place' we're going to be poking around in? I may need to know what kind of weapon to bring, if we're expecting a fight."

"What? You mean your image as a mean person!? Why would you want that, that's silly!" The girl looks at A'erina with her eyes wide and innocent, or at least they seem to be.

Astra look between the two girls, then looked at Tret,"Honestly I am not sure, hopefully nothing to intense. But there is a reason why this place has not had visitors. I cannot wait to see what adventures this brings us"She smiled, then waving her hand making sparkling display,"And Treasures!"

"Wonderful... I'll figure something out then..."
 
He turned a frown, then Tret stood up from the table "Alright. I'll start gathering things and getting ready. If you find out any thing else about this place, let me know. Otherwise I'll just... be ready for anything, neh? Luca, Rina... See you later?" He smiled again and then turned. THen turned a different direction. Pointing towards a door, he struck out and across the floor without waiting for long goodbyes. There was planning and packing to be done. Someone would find him or contact him. Surely.

Astra was about to reply to Tret, but he was gone in a dash!"Such a strange individual."looking between the two,"What's a prybar?"

A'erina sniffles and looks at Astra " He's probably on something. Best not to worry about it."

A'erina also resists the urge to clout Lucatiel across the head. " Because people take advantage of kindness and happiness. Not gonna have those kinda people use it against me. Although... Well, you probably heard about it anyways, so my image is perfectly fine for a bit longer. Seems the only way to keep it going is to maim a few lads."

With a concerned look, Astra glanced between the Smolander, and Cat girl, then back down to her notes."Oh, be sure to bring an empty bag to carry anything you want out of this place. The legends say that if you pass the trials, there is a chamber, then treasures no man or woman has seen. Probably be best to bring something to carry your loot with."

A'erina points at Lucatiel " She can carry my stuff. About the safest thing for her, besides if Luna finds out, she'll have a fuckin' meltdown."

"Luna? Like the Luna starlight party?"

"What would she have anything to do with this?"

"Wait, carry what stuff? I can only carry so much! Stuff is heavy!" The girl looks a bit concerned, looking at A'erina in confusion.

"Gonna need you to carry my sword when I need you too, then theres a few potions and other mixes I'll be bringing with, maybe a book or two..." A'erina slaps Lucatiel on the back " ...Just fuckin' with ya. You don't gotta carry anything on my behalf, you will be good bait for some beasties though."

The girl blinks, her expression souring. "Wh-what!? Your sword? Isn't that really big? Oh man...." As A'erina smacks her in the back, she is pushed forward a bit before regaining her balance. "Wh-whuh!? Bait!? Huh!? What do you mean!?" She looks very worried now.

Astra collected her journals, and placed them neatly into the satchel she had on her."If the two of you are done bickering, I will send contact when ready to meet, and location."She began to leave,"I will see you both soon."

"O-oh! Okay! Bye Astra! I can't wait for the adventure!" As ever, excitement and vibrance exude from Lucatiel in droves, even just as she waves someone off.

After the Quicksands, satisfied with her group to adventure out with. Astra snapped her fingers and caused the existing flyers to burst into flames and turn to ash floating off with the wind.
In the coming days she would calibrate the the needs of a teleportation spell with an anchor source.
