Lami sat on her bed, Growing stronger by the day but still mostly confined to her bed, Her bed desk having slowly advanced to a proper desk atop her  bed as she scribbled away on receipts and debt logs

The stacks of done VS not where about even with her shoulder, A pair of stacks of uncompleted and a singular stack of completed sat, Ready to be worked through. Lami was focused on her penmanship.

F’loki entered into the room with rather casually, relaxed despite the utter lack of any sleep at all present on his features. He seemed to be in a good mood as he entered nonetheless, waving happily at his sister.

“Done carrying on the family tradition I see.”

Lami's ear twitched up as she heard the door open. But she didn't react until her guest made himself known.

"Oh, Ya know. Figured I'd carried it on lon' enough. I'm sure sumone else wanted tae become the new big mistake of the family."

She paused stacking her papers as she added them to the "done" pile. Now looking at her brother.

"Look like ye need sum sleep."

“You had it for me.”

“So how much eating did you do in your dreams anyway?”

lami looked down at her, Almost skin and bones frame.

"Not much it seems. And If sleep worked like that, I'd pay sumone tae sleep fer me. So I can get this shite done. Yet again, I got nuthin' else tae do I suppose. Come tae tease me?"

“Damn no dream food? Guess this will seem even more succulent then.”

He reveals the hand that was behind his back, showing a bouquet….of meat. Bird mostly, but there seemed to be ham and some assorted berries along the periphery for decoration.

“Can you smell water? I heard that happens when you get dehydrated.”

Lami at first eyed the bouquet with a hungry look before shooting her brother a glare. Least her eyes still held their sharpness.

“Ha.Ha. Yer soooo funny. No. I can’t smell water. Though I wouldn’t mind some. If yer so inclined.” 

She said gesturing towards an empty glass on the makeshift desk. 

“Thank ye for the meats though…Shame I can’t, actually cook anythin’ at the moment.”

Lami looked at herself and then F’loki. “Havin’ a hard time stay in’ on me feet for longer then a few moments at a time…”

“Sucks to suck I guess. Aren’t you supposed to a strong infallible hero or something? R’esha hadn’t moved for more than half her life and look at her! I assumed the little monster man would have made you recover faster than a snap or something.”

Lami just stared at him for a long time. “I hate tae disappoint. But, I don’t think that’s gonna happen this time. Though I am told I’m recovering far more quickly then someone with me condition should. Should be up and ‘bout in a week er so.”

Rolling her eyes now. ”Glad tae see ye where concerned. Makes me heart melt.” Snorting loudly

“I made all the inquiries I could, but I was otherwise occupied and busy. Which reminds me…”

He picked up the empty cup before turning towards the door.

“You’re going to be an aunt by the way.”

And with that, he left the room, closing the door behind himself.

Lami just sat there for a moment. And then shouted as she sort of, made the mini desk fly off her bed. 

“HOLY FUCK YE ACTUALLY GOT YER DICK WET?”

Stumbling and then falling on her face. Before she just stared at the door. 

“DON’T YE DARE LEAVE ON THAT NOTE YE BONE HEAD!”

He returns after some time with the cup of water.

“Still thirsty? This is probably the most water you’ve had in years so I know the answer is yes.”

Lami is, on the floor. She pushes her self up and eventually stands up. Dusting herself off before quietly returning to her bed. 

She was blushing as she just nodded. “A-Aye. I would like sum water.”

He hands the water to her before crossing his arms.

“So you can move. Who has been by to see you? Besides R’asha since she decided it would be a hoot to talk at me over linkpearl rather than to me.”

Lami snorted as she took the water and sipped at it. 

“Well, Lhei and Blue. And obviously the doc. But yer the third new face I’ve seen since waking up.”

She sort of just stared at her brother now. 

“So she’s actually with child? A’erina I mean?”

“Unless she’s playing the most intricate prank I’ve ever seen, yes. Feeling old yet?”

"Yes...Tae old..." She sighed abit."Well congratulations. I'm sure ma and pops would be overjoyed..."

He shrugged, not really giving it much thought.

"Maybe, but I'm really just so glad I can have a kid at all you know? Thought your devil friend took that away from me when he made me into a....you know....a freak. Been trying to find him actually and got nothing aside from a message telling me about you."

"Aye..suppose ye would think that...Though he did give R'esha a life. Even if she hates us. Least she's this top of soil. I'd take that over what I thought I knew most me life."

She finished her water and sort of ran her index figner around the rim of the glass.

"Think this means ya'll be 'round less? Not that I'd blame ye of course. It is gonna be yer kid afterall. Why wouldn't ye be there for them..."

“Kind of the opposite actually. Already told Novine I fully intend on having a family and I’m working a bit overtime to make sure the load doesn’t get too crazy while I’m being a dad. Luckily, this means I get to annoy all of you even more. Better study up on changing diapers cause I’m absolutely bringing that hell upon you. I look forward to the moment. I relish the thought you see.”

“And R’esha doesn’t hate anyone, she’s just….well, she’s a brat for sure, but a part of me thinks she’s earned that for now you know? I’m pretty sure more than anything she’s just guilty and angry. Mostly at herself. You remember how much she used to cling to us right? For like….anything. Do you really think that just poofed over night? Cause here’s what I think: I think her pushing everyone away is more a punishment for her than it is us. You’ve got people, I’m getting a family. R’asha….is breathing—point is, if you look at it in the STUPID way, we don’t need her nearly as much as she needs us. And it’s not like she’s had time to grow up either. She’s been just…trapped in a useless body for years. Screaming with no one to hear. Truthfully it’s a wonder that she isn’t….worse.”

Lami sighed at the thought of DIAPERS. “Ye know I don’t do great with kids right?”

She said with a genuinely nervous chuckle. “As far as R’esha…I suppose ye got a point. She’s likely dealin’ with ‘lot of the stuff I did when I was a young girl…”

She covers her mouth to laugh. “She was adorable though. I do miss being a reliable big sister…” she shot F’loki a look as if challenging him to say otherwise. 

“I just hope I get tae spoil her…And yer little kid once they are old enough. “ she said wiggling her eyebrows.

“You’ll do fine…Or hilariously. Really though, do you have a way of like….finding Eligor? No one seems to know where he is and I kind of really, really need to make sure A’erina and the baby aren’t in danger.”

“What the fuck why is he suddenly impossible to get a hold of? Shouldn’t he have someone keeping an eye on him or something after all the nonsense he’s pulled? Bastard should have an alarm goin off whenever he so much as approached another living thing.”

Lami shrugged. “Hell if I know. I’ve been out like a light for the last six months er so. Probably feeling antsy again er sumthin’. I could give ‘em a rin’ anyways if ya want.”

“Tried it. Doubt he’ll answer you either. Whatever…so what do you need? Besides six months worth of baths or something.”

Lami shrugged. "The thin's I need now are stuff I doubt ye can do fer me. Mostly rest and some more aether pumped inta me limbs. Doc says I should be walkin' fairly normal like in a few days...Which is thanks tae that freaky recovery speed our  "devilish" friend gave me."

“All I remember him giving is spooky daggers and tooth decay, but whatever. Can head out now if you want rest, but you’ll have to put down paperwork too. Literally learn how to delegate you prune.”

"Oh? You got spookey Dagger too now? Neat." She said sticking out her tongue. 

"Why delegate when I can just...do it all now...Once I'm caught back tae me normal standards it'll be fiiine." She said with a small smile.

"Leave er stay. That's up tae ya. Gonna be doin' what I was once ye are gone anways."

“If you delegated you wouldn’t have any of this work in the first place. It’s not just for you either. Imagine how many things came to a halt because of your nap, you know? Now you’ve gotta untangle those knots and the knots people made trying to deal with it within your parameters. You should just sleep. Who actually brought this work to you?”

Lami wiggled her ears as she scooted herself into bed. 

“Oh…I managed to swindle R’asha into giving it to me. She’s surprisingly easy to talk in circles if ya got the right…way of puttin’ it.”

Smiling like a Cheshire Cat. “Just wanted to make sure the nothing was out of place…Though um…Don’t uhh… actually ya. Nevermind. Either way. I’ll sleep some later. I’m gettin’ roughly halfway through. She did a good job all thin’s considered.”

He only stared quietly, frowning.

“What happened to the cute family….”

Lami giggled at that. “We are still cute! Just…ya know…dangerously so.”

Smirking at her brother she’d extend her hands out. It seems she wanted a hug?

He didn’t require much prompting for a hug, pulling her in for what was nearly a bear hug if not for the paperwork potentially tipping over.

“Feel better soon.”

Lami chuckled as she did her best to hug him back with as much force as she could muster. 

The paper work leaned threatened by Lami’s brazen antics. 

“Ill be back on me feet for tae lon’. Then ya’ll miss me bein’ asleep.”

She gave him a few pats before she let go. “Now then, ye got a pregnant lady likely waitin’ on ya. Or so I assume.”

He doesn’t answer, snapping his fingers and refilling Lami’s cup with water, proving he could have just done that all along and was mostly just messing with her before smirking and leaving.

“Love ya!”

Lami blinked and snorted at him loudly. She did laugh however.

"Love ya too." She said rather sheepishly as he left. Shortly after returning to her paperwork.
