The young man woke early from the inn in the sleeping Limsa, doing his morning stretches, and rubbing out the broken cartilage in his leporine ear. The ear that a bit floppy perked back up. Making his way down, he looked over a few different vendors.

“Hmmm…. What do women here like?” 

Looking over a couple different stalls, eyeing over a sword and a lace, then some fancy jewelry, and frying pan, before finding a flower vendor. Purchasing with the last bit of coin he had on him, a simple arrangement of blue and white flowers. Before heading back to the tavern, he sniffed himself, hopefully he did not smell like ass. 
It was late mid-morning by the time he made his way to the residential area and finding his way back to the tavern. Walking up to the door, looking around at the house, seeing no indication that it was a Tavern. He knocked.

It wouldn't be very long before the door began to open. Standing in the now opened door was a short blonde Hyur, looking curiously at the man. She spoke in a high singsongy tone, sounding cheerful but certainly confused.

"Umm hellooo! The tavern isn't open today, I'm sorry! Unless there was umm... something else?"

Looking inside behind the girl one could see the woman of the household cooking at the stove, preparing a meal of some sort. Tall and older, snowy hair down to her back. She didn't seem to look over, content to ask sidelong to the girl.

"Who is it, Lucatiel?"

Magni held the bunching of flowers out, then  seemed to be taking back by another answer. Between his heavy accent, and the bit of stuttering, he was a bit off with this type of things. Dropping the flowers at his side, and scratching his head.

"I.. no I am not here for the tavern. The lady from who the white hair, believe Tret said her name to be Luna.... Lady Luna?"

Thinking to himself, 'maybe she was not here? this is awkward..' he kicked the at the ground a bit was the girl attention was pulled back inward.

Lucatiel visibly 'oooh's at the flowers, watching them fall to the man's side.

"The lady with... Oh!" She smiles and turns around, now facing into the home. "LUUUUUUUNAAAAAA! Guy at the door for you!"

The girl would run off further inside, trading places at the stovetop with the knightess as she came to the door. The woman was wearing an apron over her plain clothes, one that had clearly seen much use this day. She looks at the man curiously.

"Yes? What may I do for you?"

"These match your eyes Ma'am!"

He offered the bouquet to the knightess with a big smile

"I... Um..." With his heavy accent, he began to turn slightly red under his tan skin. "Do you enjoy..." His voice cracked a bit, letting out a sigh, "Sorry, I am not good with this kind of things, but was wondering if you would like to do something, something for fun and sport."  His voice picked up a bit of courage as he finally got it out, or to his best ability.

Then freezing a bit mortified, "What if you are married, that is a thing here, shit...Sorry. Are you married?"

Utterly perplexed, the woman slowly takes the bouquet. She was very confused, but inwardly she did quite like the flowers.

"Ah... thank you, Sir... ah? I did not catch your name, I am afraid." 

"You are quite alright, take your time. What do you wish to... Pardon?" At the first question, she finds herself shocked and confused further but it is nothing compared to the next query.

"Je suis désolé!? Non, I am not bonded with anyone. That is a queer thing to ask."

From inside the house, Lucatiel calls out while watching the two - clearly more interested in the conversation than the food she was cooking.

"He wants to go on a date with you I think!"

"The name is Magni..."

His ears wiggled a bit as he heard the girl inside.

"The young lady is quite right! Apparently it is not acceptable in the culture of Eorzea to ask a woman bond out. But this is what I've been informed." He scratched the back of his head, "It is different customs I am adapting to here in the west. Many different customs."

Luna pauses, trying to absorb everything.

"Right, Sir Magni."

"Well... As I said, I am not bonded but..." She regards the man for a moment. "You... wish to ask myself out for a.... date? An attempt at romance and courtship, yes?"

Another pause.

"Why?"

"Why? Why not, you are a woman of such... independency! And you are strong, hold your own..."

He began to rub his chin, muttering. "Bit cold, but hot....... Ass.... Could kill me...."

Still completely caught off-guard by it all, Luna takes a moment.

"I... what? I am strong, you are correct, but I do not..."

However she overhears Magni's mutterings and instantly looks horrified.

"Pardon moi, monsier!? What say you of this 'hot ass'!? Explain yourself!"

In the back, Lucatiel can be heard giggling now.

"No! No! Ma'am I meant not as Hot Ass... but I mean your ass is very nice, but noooo... you as a woman.... You are beautiful! Please, this is a compliment Ma'am, I maybe a bit primitive when it comes to thinking this, but a strong woman like you... is.." 

He seemed to gush a bit, just  a bit wobbly. "You.... are a dream." He gave a bit of a chef's kiss. 

"This is why I request a date! I must know you! I must..." His head dropped... "I realize, I may seem a bit foolish" Letting out a sigh. "This is not something I am custom to... Courtship as you said. This is not something I've experienced in my life as a Ward."

The horror in the woman's face intensifies and begins to mix with fury.

"My... Par les Douze ! To what sort of easily laid escort would that be a compliment!? By Halone..."

Lucatiel calls from the kitchen once more. "It IS a compliment! It means he thinks you're pretty!"

Two fingers raise up to Luna's temple and she begins to rub. "Ma parole est que c'est ainsi que les enfants courtisent...  Yes, you do seem foolish. Perhaps... Perhaps there is something lost in translation... If this is truly meant to be a compliment..."

She sighs, catching herself for a moment. "Sir Magni... I must say that such methods of attempting to begin courtship are... highly strange. However, it has been so long since I have participated in such rituals, mayhap I am the one mistaken."

Unsure if he was being scolded at first, he took a step back in the chaos. As the girl called out to Luna, he chuckled a bit, "It is a bit of lost in translation. You speak something I have yet to hear of, we both speak this common language as a second language, yes." His ears wiggled a bit, the one drooping from an improper care after an injury from long ago. "I am no Sir, if I had a title, it is Wood Ward, but those days are gone now. Courtship is not to my people customs."

Like a lightbulb went off in his head, "What is your idea of this courtship? I've seen things in Dalmasca when I was young, not sure if that would be considered similar."

Another sigh as the woman works to keep herself calm and ignore the dick-guided words he had used previously.

"You are not entirely wrong.  I do at times revert back to the language I know to it's fullest. Clearly, it is an alien concept to yourself as well, yes."

She looks a bit surprised at the man's next question. "MY idea of courtship? I... I am not sure. I suppose something classical and romantic - candle-lit meals, well selected giftings, that sort of thing..." She puts a hand to her chin, thinking further.

"Lots of cuddling and stuff!" Lucatiel calls from back in the house, her words causing Luna to groan.

He was taking it in, nodding as she listed off the ideas.
"I see."

When Lucatiel called for cuddling, the look of fear etched his face.
"Cuddling..."

The knightess shakes her head, looking back at her ward with a frown. The girl giggles and plates their food, having finished watching over the stovetop.

Luna turns back to regard Magni again with a sigh. "Ignore what the girl has said, I do not agree with such necessarily."

"I guess, some do enjoy the fondness of that level of intimacy..."

Magni seemed deep in thought for the moment.

"Mayhaps, I need to investigate how to properly preform these acts of courtship, before venturing down this path. I am not sure if there is a difference between courting and dating...." He looked up at the knightess, "To me, I this idea of a date is less formal. To be able to enjoy and share hobbies or passions."

He wiggled his nose as he got a scent of something delicious, then sighed, "I do believe I may have caught you at a bad time Lady Luna, but if you do wish to take the leap, I would be happy to get to know you."

Three fingers would rise to the woman's forehead as she pressed against it, groaning. "I do not believe such an act is for courtship... Surely that is reserved for a bonded pair..."

"Courting refers to the act of attracting someone to become interested in you. Dating is what comes afterwards - that is becoming deeply acquainted and determining if the two would care to spend further time together."

Another sigh as she looks between Magni in front of her and Lucatiel behind her. She lightly taps her foot on the wood flooring for a few moments, the girl behind her looking encouraging.

"Qu'est-ce que j'ai à perdre... Very well, Sir Magni. It has been a very long time since I have tried with anyone, save for that scoundrel... Why not?"

The man's childish charm and wonder seem to radiate from every pore of his body.

"REALLY?" His ears wiggle with an excitement, but then rubbed his chin, "Maybe we can compare the date styles with in one? A bit your idea of courtship, and a bit of my idea of dating? Compare and contrast! For all I know, we may be able to build something out of the different concepts and styles!"

He laughed, the Knightess made his day.

"So... can not just run off and do it today, then when?"

Another sigh, perhaps a slight moment of regret. "Yes, indeed. 'Really'. If that is how you wish to approach things, I would not be averse to such culture sharing."

She raises a brow but quickly lowers it, beginnign to think. "Yes, this day would not be acceptable. Perhaps over the week's end, then?"

"Then at the weeks end!"

He gave her a half smile. 

"Well Lady Luna," the tone of Lady Luna came out as more of a question, but he quickly shook his head, and continued onward, "Until then!"

The woman does not smile back, though her expression is decidedly less stone-faced and grumpy.

"Very well, Sir Magni. I shall look forward to it. Until next we meet, do take care."

She would bow to the man, revealing Lucatiel behind her looking over the moon.
