[Haimus]

Haimus came running from the airship, seeing the mast of a new ship making port. “Shit… Shit… Shit… that damn Viera.” He continued to run down to the docks, and seen the other greenhorn getting ready for inspection. He kept running, out of breath and winded by the time he got there.

[R'Lamiza]

The deck was bustling, crewmembers Haimus would recognize quickly mingled with new faces.

He found the other greenie standing next to him. A tight jawed Hyur that seemed tense. As a rather short Seeker of the Sun seemed to be looking him over. She had an odd pair of blue eyes, just barely off color from one another and short chopped raven black hair. Wear a long coat with a generously open front displaying a necklace that twinkled abit if the sun caught it just right. A pair of thigh high boots and rough leather trousers completed the Miqo’te’slook.

“Oi! Wuotdoen!” She said Cooley to the Roegayden that Haimus had spent most of his time under as his mentor. “Just how many members did ya pick up?” Folding her arms over her chest she’d stare up at the Roe. For such a tiny lass she commanded some form of respect.

“W-Well captain. I figured you could use a few more good hands while the Cry was off on such a voyage…” Wuotdoen said without much hesitation. Lami sighed. “Fine this one passes… but if he ain’t worth a damned ima let ya know it.”

She then waved off the newest accepted crewmen and found herself directly in front of Haimus. “So. Yer the other one, huh? Name?”

[Haimus]

“Haimus, Captain!” He stood awkwardly at attention, a bit of sweat dripping down his face. This was how they did it right? Yeah…. Right. His eyes shifted quickly to the others then straight forward.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami looked him over then to Wuotdoen.“So. How’d ya end up in here? Besides ya knows the obvious Wuotdoen roped ya in bit.” Having returned her gaze to Haimus.

[Haimus]

“I was told to come look for you, see if you were looking for bodies, by a viera, Astra. She do the fortune thing.”he sighed, softened a bit“Went to her for a job, ended up here. Honestly, I am better off here.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami looked abit taken aback. “Astra, ya say? Hm… interestin’…” she tapped her chin abit. “Ya run ‘bout with anyone else in that particular group or just a Astra boy?” Walking around him now as if searching for something unseen.

[Haimus]

“No, she posted a job about a month ago for a treasure hunt, I went to her, but she already filled the rolls.” He scratched the back of his head, “I did run into a couple who went, and said some weird stuff. It was a blue hair fellah, and a blonde young girl, they said I died, but I did not, and I was here. Whatever happened there, was bad. Something did not settle right, so I went to see her at her shop before coming back. She was talking weird.” Shaking his head looking a bit pale now.

He smiled, “She did say to come see you by name, not Captain Swiftfoot before I came here.” he nodded toward Wuotdoen, “This guy has showed me so much! And more!” His spirits jumped right back

[R'Lamiza]

Lami sucked in her breath at the mention of a blue hair’d man and blonde women. She’d rub the bridge of her nose looking at her recruiter who gave her a nod.“Alright lad. Here’s the deal. Wuotdoen seems ta like ya. So I’ll put a chip down on ya fer now… but ima to have a chat with that Astra. But that’s nuthin’ fer ya ta worry yerself with. Just keep busy and I’ll keep ya ‘round. No funny business no questions. We both get paid. Everyone’s happy. Right?”

[Haimus]

He straightened himself out, “Yes Ma'am.. err, Captain!”

[R'Lamiza]

Gave him a light pat on the shoulder. “Good. Now hop ta it.” Releasing him from her inspection. Waiting for him to do whatever he’d do before saying anything further to her recruiter.

[Haimus]

The young man made about his work for the day, away from Lami.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami leaned over “Keep an eye on em. I don’t plan to make him suffer because of ‘er but this doesn’t rub me right. I’m gonna go pay the Viera a visit.” She’d say before stalking off to go about her own business.

[Astra]

Astra placed wards on her door to allow her awareness if someone entered, made her way past the trap door, and down into her library. She began to 'mediate,' on the comfort of her alcove. Her hands opened to the small orb, her eyes went blind to her surrounds as she ventured into a different fragmented plain of sight. Glimpses of what she saw showed on the orb.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami took little time to find her quarry. Having been tracking people as a career for most of her adult life it wasn’t difficulty to find a fortune telling Viera.

Finding her home Lami’d feel off. The daggers that played house with her tipped her off to something not being quite right. Though she wouldn’t have needed this tip as she cloaked herself in shadow and walked in.

Invisible to the naked eye she’d start poking around not finding the Viera she went to the next reasonable option. A secret room. And with some poking and prodding she found her way into the same trap door Astra had entered walking in she’d find some robes she found funny looking and a few books. Luckily for Astra Lami had little interest in books that didn’t contain trading routes or fighting styles in it. Looking about this secret room she’d press on deeper into it. Silent as was her profession.

[Astra]

Astra hidden room lead down into the cold stone of the basement. With in this hidden a the faint blue light hinted from behind sheer draps as she sat there unaware of the intruder. Piled with books and her desk adjacent from the means of her spot.

Most of everything in this room was of different languages, the main chunk were of her sharlyan ways. Some where older text from Dalmasca and Ivalice origins. Her robes she locked were scholar origins to that of the Sharlayan. There was two rooms with in her hidden lair, side room that was absolutely empty and dark and the mini library.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami kept herself shrouded in darkness. Defending the stairs she’d find herself facing a small wall like structure with a way into the empty room.

She’d do a slight peak and find nothing of interest. Turning and making her way down she’d spot the desk and then the soft blue glowing curtains would catch her eye.

Taking a light peak she’d find her target. Grinning to herself she resisted the urge to pull a harmless prank. Instead opting to find the edge of the enclave and balance on it on the balls of her feet. Ready to jump back in case she took a swat at her. But right before she made herself known she noticed the images appear on the ball. And stopped to watch before taking anymore action. Letting the curtains fall behind her in case Astra opened her eyes she’d see nothing but empty air.

[Astra]

The fragmented image was nothing out of normal. People, soldiers, peddlers.

A voice echoed to her “You're not alone”

The orb snapped back into its enclosure around her neck. Astra eye returned to the normal purple hues. Astra furrowed her, something felt different. Unaware of the the block Lami body created. Astra went to move.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami the appeared before her as if out of thin air. Giving a causal wave. “Good day.” She said simply before well hoping out of the little nook and outside of the curtains reach. “Didn’t wanna interrupt BUT We needs ta have ourselves a chat. Not busy anymore. Right?”

[Astra]

Astra recoiled to the back of the nook, startled. “What the actual fuck…. How the hell did you get down here, and how the hell did you get past my ward.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami twirled a finger. “Well. There are ta thin’s one. Ya seemed distracted. And ta. Sneakin’ ‘bout and gettin’ inta places I shouldn’t had been sort of a trade since I was a little Lass. I’m pretty good at it won’t ya agree?” She said with a bright smile. “Er yer wards are shite and need an updatin’.”

[Astra]

Astra narrowed her eyes, “My wards are not shit, they work fine on most folks, so that begs.. you are not like most.”

Astra voice was a bit of surprise, and a hint of anger.

She stepped out of the nook, collecting her jacket off of the desk, readjusting her hair back into a proper bun. With a sigh, adjusting her nerves from being startled to death “You insist we need to talk? Apparently people enjoy talking to me now.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami chuckled.“Ya might be onta sumthin’. But girls gotta have her secrets.”

She nodded then after allowing the Viera to collect herself. “Aye. Not sure who else been buzzin’ in ya ear but I promise ta make this short and sweet. Ya?”

She’d reached behind her and pulled out a throwing knife. And started to idly twirl it.“Hope ya don’t mind… nerves are a wreck since I quit givin’ me liver a werk out…. and I doubt ya’d want me smokin’ down here.” Coughing abit.“Ta the point. Why’d ya send sumone ta werk on me ship?”

[Astra]

Astra let out another sigh. “I think it better if I show you, I have a means of a journal that allows you to see things as I…. well as they happened.” She grabbed the book with pages of filled ink. “it was several moons now, I visited a city, and I started having gaps in my memory, black outs. I come to find that I was under a possession.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami pursed her lips.“I see… and whatever is playin’ house with her heads doin’ shite in yer name huh?” She stretched out abit and scratched one of her ears.“Does the name Haimus mean anythin’ ta ya?”

[Astra]

Astra let out a sigh. “Not this shit again. Did they send you?”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami raised a brow. “They?” She asked curiously. “That’s the individual ya sent ta me ship… or whomever has a room in that head of yers did.”

[Astra]

She turned around and looked at Lami, “So Tretesta, Luca or Aerina didn't send you?”

[R'Lamiza]

“Nope. I’m here in me own interest. I’m not an errand girl. I havnt been broke enough ta do that shite fer a lon’ time now.”

[Astra]

She sat on the desk, with a sigh, “I have memories of the kid, until recently, they are nothing more than glimpses of a dream. He was here recently, seeking answers I could not provide.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami scratched at the back of her head. Growling abit in discontent. “And in figurin’ that book of yers has nothin’ ta offer either?”

[Astra]

“They're written version of my memories, there is only one in here where I apparently drugged him.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami’s tail cracked like a whip behind her displaying her annoyance. “Well this only leaves me more frustrated then ‘efore… Why me is what I’d like ta know. Ya don’t know any other captains do ya?”

[Astra]

Astra smiled “The only person I know who runs a business would be Luna, and well I dont think he would make a great chef, but hard to say. If he is looking honest work, I hope you can provide. I cannot offer this.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami groaned. “Oh I’ll werk em. All thin’s considered I need the hands. But I’m gonna keep an eye on em. Don’t need no funny business goin’ on. Got enough of that shite on me plate as is.”she’d return the knife to its hiding spot and shove off the wall. “Well, that was all I really needed. Seems I get ta be the one that gets surprised… as annoyin’ as that is.”

[Astra]

Astra sighed, “I wish it wasnt my intent to surprise anyone, but how can I surprise someone when I have little to no memory for the lad.” She shrugged. “I believe we are done then, unless there was another reason why you were sneaking about my home.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami shook her head. “Nope. That was all. I'll be out yer hair now.” She'd start to walk off and out of the basement. Waving over her shoulder. Astra would be able to note though her footsteps made not a single sound.

[Astra]

Astra watched as the Miqo'te left, wondering to herself. She simply sighed to self and closed up shop for good this time.

“Why the fuck did she get through my ward? How?”

[R'Lamiza]

And Like that. Lami was unleashed on the world once again.

[Haimus]

Much later that evening.

Haimus came to nearly with a scream, grabbing his chest, and stomach. Nothing was off, and he was just whole. Shaking his head, he made his way up to the deck on the Cry of Murderers. The dream still vivid, and felt so real. He leaned against the the side, trying to shake the dream.

“That damn viera, what the hell did she do to me.” He muttered to himself.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami was atop the deck. Smoking one of her usual Cigars. Not able to sleep. She looked over the port of Limsa deep in thought. Not having notice Haimus, at first before spotting the Hyur. After her conversation with Astra she figured she'd take abit more interest in his going abouts she'd suddenly appear as if from smoke besides him. “Trouble sleepin'?” She asked looking up at the Highlander.

[Haimus]

The lad jumped a slightly, and took a deep breath, thinking to himself about the spooky women he met lately. “Yes ma'am, Sorry Captain, I did not mean to wake you. I just needed the fresh air.” He grabbed at his midsection.

[R'Lamiza]

Lami laughed “Yer not gonna wake me up. Sleeps just been elusive past couple nights.” She waved off the man.“Got a stomach bug? Ta much ta drink? I know the lads tend ta really haze the shite outta the fresh meat sumtimes.”

[Haimus]

He shook his head. “I would say it be like a nightmare but it be more like a bad memory that keeps hopping up in me dreams. This place that the group went to, the slight mention of it from the girl the other day, it caused these glimpsed to happen in my dreams. Tonight was me falling off a platform and spikes piecing my body, everything goes dark as I stare at the guy with blue hair.” He sat on the ground, “there is different dreams from there, me trying to attack them or the one where I rip that viera side open.” He looked up at Lami, “She did sumting to me, and she doesn't even remember me. She kept saying it was by this others designs.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami listened for awhile. She let her cigar’s ember die as she mulled over how to respond to the man. Knowing full well she needed to pay a Blur Hair’d Hyur a visit fairly soon as well. Seems she need more then just a few pieces to this particular puzzle.

“Well. I can’t fix nightmares. Er bad memories. Got me own to deal with…” she paused not really sure just how to answer him.“Guess the only real option is ta sit ‘round and take em as they come. Might be easier said then done but I’m no good at this whole business with dreams and shite. Used ta just drink em away but that’s not really much of an option anymore.”

[Haimus]

His breath staggered, and slowly returned to normal. He pulled the gold false tooth and yeeted it into the water. “Ridding myself of her.” He looked up at Lami, “Do you think she is evil?”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami blinked.“What? The tooth was hers?” she said looking out at it with a sigh.“Coulda sold that…” Shaking her head abit before she chuckled abit.“That depends. What's yer definition of Evil? And who are we talkin' 'bout bein' evil? Astra, I assume but which one.”

[Haimus]

“Sold it?” He just looked “Shite, I didn't think that Ma'am. It was from her” Scratched his head. “Yeah I'm going on about that bunny girl.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami laughed.“Don’t think like a merchant I see…. as fer yer question? No…. I don’t think she is. But. I’m also just sum Lass with her own sins ta bear. Some that could be seen as Evil, so, if she’s evil would depend on yer definition of the werd.”

[Haimus]

He grinned at her, now missing a tooth. “We all have our demons, in some form. ” Nodding proudly before getting up. “Thank ye Captain, I'm proud to be learning under your crew and you.”

[R'Lamiza]

Lami nodded shoving off the railing.“Aye. Anytime. Now go get herself sum shut eye. Got a small trip planned up the coast.” Walking off towards the prow of the ship waving over her shoulder at the man.
