[A'erina]
( @here Anyone can chime in and be as daft or as serious as you like) |
It's about 1:45am Eorzea Time, usually at this time if the night A'erina is at work in her laboratory mixing away to the sounds coming from her orchestrian which was given to her by a towering bald highlander gentleman during her time as a Miqo'te. The sound if the usual things can be heard, the flames, the bubbles, but tonight, a crackling fire for it was cold as fuck, downstairs in the basement the pitter patter of small slippers adorns her feet and she walks backwards and forwards, from worktop to worktop, drops from various things staining the very counters, some, she has noted, can peel away your very skin and she wears no kind of gloves, she often is called crazy and she often enjoys the moniker.
The loud whistling of a teapot can be heard upstairs, signalling that the water she had boiling was ready and it was time for a nice hot brew. The home she so affe tionately loves has now become some sort of building site as steps and stools are apparent almost everywhere as the small girl can no longer just stand up next to things and everything ever made seems to not be accommodating for a small Lalafell for some reason. Eventually making herself a hot cup of tea she pulls a small footstool close to her chair and climbs atop it and places her tea on small coffee table at the side of the chair. She leans back in her chair and grabs a few pieces of paper off the table and begins to scan across them.
“Chocobo Breeding Services”
One reads, you see, due to not being as nimble as she was before and the lack of knees clearly taking its toll on her, A'erina had taken to finding herself a companion on which to ride, she had always shunned Chocobo's because she never needed one but now she in in the kind of situation where she feels she could very well do with one. She takes a sip of her tea “Oh, I know” she holds her hand up her ear for a moment and then looks at the Chronometer on the wall. “ Oh… they'll all be asleep…” she says to herself but decides to be you only live once about it “ Hey, any of you kids awake…? ” she continues to look at the flyers and such as she takes another sip of tea awaiting to see if any of her fellowship decide to answer at such a time.
[Pipino]
Sleep was hard to come by as of late. Her eyes were bloodshot and there were dark shadows tainting her pale skin underneath her eyes. Every time she managed to steal an hour or two of sleep, the nightmares would begin again soon enough. The bodies - the blood - the sharp teeth - the promised return. She started to be able to notice Annu's influence in her dreams, the ocassional peaceful, placid scene, but it always managed to be consumed as there was nothing she could do to keep the evil parts at bay.
She had taken to wearing the linkpearl in her ear at all times, promising to let others know if the man who was pursuing her would come for her again and it was in the anxiety-ridden stupor of an interrupted slumber that Pipino answered A'erina's call.
“I am awake,” she said, her voice gravelly from exhaustion.
[Tadashi]
Gazing down at the city of Ul'dah from the rooftops, Tad makes a note before quickly tucking the paper into his bag. As he pulls his hand out, it bumps into something round, which he grabs and stares at in the darkness. Recalling A'erina had given him the linkpearl, he was entirely unfamiliar with how to use it. Rolling it around in his hand, he looks for some way to activate it, when suddenly he hears A'erina's voice. Surprised, he drops the linkpearl, only to catch it before it bounces away down onto the street.
Staring at it harder, he hears Ms. Pino's voice. Turning it over, he places it in his ear before muttering “Don't know how these things work…” accidentally speaking into the linkpearl.
[A'erina]
Upon hearing Pipino's voice, a small, hard to hear “ Oh no” passes her mouth. After the other night, A'erina had decided to keep Pipino at arm's length, the rather unsettling tale had put the woollies up her but Pip was a friend first and some crazy demon second. She hesitates for brief moment before replying “ Hey Pip, do you got a second to chat? As you've been short all your life you probably know more than me so perhaps you can indulge me for a minute or two…” her sentence spoken very fast, and abruptly cut off by a voice not familiar to her “ New linkpearl, who this? ” she asks to the voice, expecting a reply before she yells profanities at the nuisance callers trying to offer her bogus services.
[Pipino]
Pipino curls into a ball, sitting in her bed, resting her chin on her knees as she rocks side to side to soothe herself. “Yes, I would agree that I would probably know more about it than you. What is troubling you?”
[A'erina]
She shakes her head and pretends she never heard the voice and let's Pipino speak before continuing “ how DO you get around to places? Do you have a Chocobo? How much are they? Are they great for small folk?” Reeling off question after question, the thoughts crossing her mind that she would have to become accustomed to her life as a Lalafell as she sits hoping that maybe she can change herself back to a Miqo'te again, but should be prepared for the worst where she remains a Lalafell for a long time, perhaps forever.
[Tadashi]
Tad stops above the rooftops as A'erina shouts into his ear. He is tempted to hurl the linkpearl off into the night, but grudgingly decides to keep it on. “It's Tadashi… You gave me the linkpearl A'erina.” Shrugging, he turns back to his work, before pondering. “Lalafell get around to places people don't generally expect.” Like right now, he thought… “I am not to familiar with the chocobo, but back home people would ride horses… not that you would necessarily know what those are. I would imagine a mount would be useful if you were travelling long distances.”
[Pipino]
A soft laugh peals into their ears. “Surely you have noticed I do not go very far from Ul'dah. I tend to use airships, boats….my own two feet. However, I have taken rides on Gair's chocobos before, and I suppose other Lalafells I know do know how to ride and care for one. I just happen to not have the experience required to use one, so I do not. Breeders know ways of breeding the chocobos to make them smaller to suit our carriage.”
[Tadashi]
Unable to resist laughing along with Ms. Pino, Tad laughs, before silencing himself quickly, lest people wonder why there was laughter from the roofs. “I was always too poor to use a horse, but if you had the coin, and needed to get somewhere quickly I could imagine it being useful. Otherwise my legs have served me fine. I would rather my legs be strong then paying for someone else's to be.”
[A'erina]
Tapping on her chin, she listens to the advice, her own feet? It'd always been okay as a Miqo'te, long legs meant getting from A to B in no time at all, She would find herself out of breath merely running from her house to the apartments. “ Is it really that easy though?” she asks, “ I suppose you guys would know though. I guess.”
[Tadashi]
Smiles into the darkness. “You would be surprised to know how strong our legs are. We can jump as high as any other race, so our leg strength is very high naturally. This makes running easier, so all you need to work on is endurance. Go for a jog when you have time, and over time you will build it up.”
[A'erina]
A'erina hops off the chair and stokes the fire a little, a few embers flickering onto the ground with each prod and poke. “ Perhaps your are right, Tod.” She nods to herself “ Maybe a companion isn't for me…” A somewhat sad expressions falls over her face, clearly wanted a chocobo or creature of her own. “ Maybe I should do something else about myself…” she heads downstairs, and looks on her shelves and through some cabinets “ A-ha! ” she says as she grabs a bottle “ Maybe I should just accept that I'm going to be this way for a long time and instead, do something about it before I try to revert back to how i should be.”
[Tadashi]
Shakes his head. “You don't have to discard the idea. Just make sure that you exercise daily to start building up muscles. Don't go using some potion nonsense to attempt to skirt around the problem”
[Pipino]
Pipino smiles despite herself listening to the conversation. “Even I, who is quite weak, can vouch for the fact that Lalafell in general are quite hearty. You must not let others underestimate you, but in order to that, you must not underestimate yourself. I …know I am not one to talk though, what with as much as I complain about physical training, but you have already managed to overcome that hurdle.”
[A'erina]
A'erina pauses for a moment with the bottle in her hand and looks at the label. She sets it down on a counter and reassures Tod “ Don't worry about it, it's nothing too absurd.” Talking about the mix she pulled out of the cabinet. “ if it were bad I think I'd find someone or something to test it on this time, don't you think?” She climbs up some steps and grabs a petri dish with something in and puts it under a microscope and takes a long peek at it. She shrugs as whatever she was looking at clearly did not impress her and she scribbles down something about it in her book. “ oh I would certainly underestimate myself, Pip, I dont particularly stand out from anyone, I've nothing special to bring to the table. I can't… ” she glances over at a vial and picks it up the contents have become congealed and a dark green, she hurls it across the room, the contents doing seemingly nothing this time to the floor. “ I can't even do the one fucking thing I'm good at, apparently” She wondered if it was being a Lalafell that was causing so many problems or the possiblity that it could be something else, but she was quite content with blaming everything on her state.
[Pipino]
“A'erina,” she says softly, almost like a purr to attempt to soothe her. “You need to trust me when I say you stand out like a bright star on a night sky. I know we have not shared much history between us, but even I can see that much. And everyone makes mistakes. You should see the amount of paintings I have started that never see the light of day, only the light of the fire when I decide to burn the unusable canvases.”
[A'erina]
Pipino's words had cause A'erina's eyes to well up slightly but refused to shed a tear, the idea that Pipino could speak such caring and kind words despite her current goings on seemed almost impossible and put it in the back of her mind that perhaps the Pipino she was talking to wasn't the Pipino she had grown fond of. “ Perhaps you are right.” She says “ I very may well just look at this all from a different perspective. Not this bright star in the night sky thing, I'm none too trusting of that Astrological poppycock.” She jokes about it lightheartedly before continuing. “ How about I try out some new make-up? Oh, I know, how about I change my hair colour?”
[Pipino]
Pipino yawns and scoots back against the wall, resting the back of her head against it as she stares at the ceiling. “But…I also do not think it would be good to not mourn what you have lost,” she states. “It is a large change and…well, whatever teasing and delight I may have shown, I intellectually know that this is a difficult adjustment. I could not fathom being anything but what I am. I do not think there is a possible way any of us can understand what it is that has happened to you. You are entitled to any complaint you have, and I shall be here to listen to them. Sleep comes fleetingly as of late.”
[A'erina]
“ Ain't no way I could sleep either with whatever it is that you're going through. My problem don't seem half bad in comparison.” She recalls havinh lost the gun she came to possess somewhere, the same one she was waving around the Bismarck Cafe in Limsa, but not really caring much to its whereabouts. “ I kinda wish I had never given you that gun, Pip.” A frown on her face begins to take shape, “ I feel like this whole thing has been indirectly my fault… ” she stops for a second and swallows a gulp, trying to find words.
[Pipino]
“That is nonsense,” Pipino says flatly. “I should have never invited those…people into my life. It is my foolishness, and their twisted motivations that have brought me here.”
“If anything, the weapon saved my life.”
[A'erina]
“ Then I suppose you should be thanking me then, I did get it into your hands in the first place” Trying to make light of the conversation. “ That friend of yours wanted to teach me how to use a gun properly, I had to decline though. I think being more physical is going to help me out.” Boasting a little about the idea of her being more physical makes her a little uneasy, always ready and able to turn tail and run away should things get hairy. “ That Hrothgar guy, Lutomis? Offered to teach me how to use an axe. Ain't expecting much though he seems like he'd rather be catching salmon swimming upstream than waste his time with me. ”
[Pipino]
“You will have to tell me what kind of person he is,” she muses, playing with the lace on the hem of her nightgown idly. “I cannot say I have much of an opportunity to speak with him. And….well, he intimidates me to be perfectly honest.”
[A'erina]
“ He smells funny.” She giggles. “ I thought he was rough looking but then again he does seem quite scary when there is someone bigger than Gair. I shall inform you of what he is like, though, for sure.”
[Pipino]
“He is just so…quiet. And…and yes, large. I do not know how to begin trying to approach him or…or make a proper introduction.”
[A'erina]
“ Maybe like everyone else, he's got a very large chip on his shoulder, or skeletons in his closet that he doesnt want to talk about.” She climbs up onto a worktop and dangles her little legs over the edge and begins slowly kicking her feet “ I did ask the Yeti but as to be expected it was a futile effort coming from a coldhearted thing like her.” She chuckles, for she respects Luna greatly but at the same time would sooner kick her back to ishgard and leave her there.
[Pipino]
“Oh, I am sure. Perhaps your closeness will help bridge the gap in time between us. What brought about this sudden desire to use an axe?”
[A'erina]
“Trees” she laughs, “ Think of people like trees. If I were to protect myself with a bow, would a handful of arrows be able to fell a tree? It wouldn't!” She removes her upper garments and proceed to pick up the bottle she had placed on the counter earlier and empties a large dollop onto her hair and begins massaging the contents into her hair, “ if I hit a tree a few times with an axe? You bet your arse it will. See what I'm saying, Pip?”
[Pipino]
“I suppose….but a person can bleed,” she says a little darkly. “A person is fragile and can be harmed quite easily by things much smaller than axes.”
[Tadashi]
Torn between shutting of his linkpearl and letting the ladies talk, or waiting for an oppurtunity to arise, Tad continues his exploration, making notes constantly. Eventually he tunes back into the conversation, and mutters “If we are talking tangible things a poison would do, however, I imagine you are talking about less tangible things. The past, fear, or other things can easily shatter a person.” Pausing, he sighs. “What's up to the person is if they can reassemble themselves and move on, or left, scattered in the winds.”
[A'erina]
Upon emptying the contents of the bottle into her hair and lathering it all in, letting it settle and listening to Tod “ Man, you sound like some old geezer, throwing wisdom around like it was going out of fashion” she laughs, before turning serious for a minute “ Sometimes people have to bleed so they leave you alone, of course, if i want to be left alone, I just hide here, in my house.”
[Tadashi]
Chuckling before ducking low as a window creaked open below him Tad turns to the linkpearl “I never claimed to be fashionable or wise. Or old for that matter. And yes, bleeding is one way of making people leave you alone.”
[Pipino]
“Who is it that bothers you so, A'erina? Pipino asks, wondering if perhaps she were in a similar boat.
[A'erina]
” Everyone bothers me.“ she scowls, ” Sometimes it can be small things like someone's poorly kept hair, other time it can be a trade deal gone awry.“ she leaps off the counter and continues ” I don't know though, people annoy me.“
[Pipino]
“So…One moment, A'erina, let me try and understand. You…you would like to train with an axe because you want people with unkempt hair to stay away with you?” She asks with a small laugh. “I…I am having difficulty understanding your reasoning.”
[A'erina]
She giggles ” No, you silly sausage.“ getting her giggling under control.” I am having Lutomis train me to use one for defense. You of all people should know I'm not much of a fighter, We sit at the Grindstone and watch instead of taking part, do we not?“ She walks into her shower room and sits on a stool ” Climbing trees and rocks are a bit harder for me now, so I can't just hide up in a tree with a bow like I've been accustomed to. In my line of work I get into a lot of shit aswell so I need to be able to protect myself, surely you know all about wanting to protect yourself.“
[Pipino]
“Fair enough. I thought I knew about protecting myself, but I think I had just been playing at becoming a fighter to distract myself from other unpleasantnesses. But I understand this need a lot more now.”
[A'erina]
Removing her linkpearl and placing it outside of the small room, she gets undressed and turns the shower on proceeds to wash all the stuff out of her hair. She steps out around 13 minutes later an wraps a towel around herself and looks in the mirror, her concoction had worked, her hair now a stunning blonde colour, a different contrast entirely to her usualy Mesa-coloured hair, even the sun bleached white streaks had gone. She pops the linkpearl back in her ear “Maybe one day we're all gonna be fighting for something.”
[Pipino]
“I would rather not personally. I certainly hope you all have lives that are full of better things than struggle that requires such means,” she says with a sigh, laying back down in her futon and drawing the blanket around her like a protective shield.
[A'erina]
SCENE ENDED WITH PIPIP DOING THINGS |
NOW IS NEW SCENE |
@here If present at the otters thinger, and after durign the duals, you may come speaks |
[Gair]
Gair would be down the path and heading for the ferry out of the ward as things happen, somewhat within ear or gunshot, obviously with his linkpearl on.
[Pipino]
Pipino looks behind her to Eupheme, looking a bit desperate, not wanting to have to defend herself against HER of all people. “I don't know what is wrong with her!” she cries.
(Pipino is intentionally using contractions rn – she dropped her clipped bullshit while arguing, so they are not me falling asleep at the wheel 😛 ) |
[Eupheme]
Eupheme's quick to act as she notices Gair on his way out, loading a bullet and firing it straight up, the crack of a bullet being fired ringing for yalms upon yalms. And then, she turns her musket to A'erina. “Back away from Pipino! *Now!*”
There's an urgency in her voice that only Pipino would know. The same as when she was barking orders during training.
[Gair]
At the sound of a familiar pop in the air, *gunfire*. “Shit, hope that wasn't a misfire.. I'll be cross if they're sparring with live ammo like idiots.” His footfalls clip on the cobbles as he jogs up onto the scene, not quite realizing what's going on without a verbal explanation. Seeing this veritable Mexican standoff, he holds both hands up. “Alright, alright- you three having a brawl?” He asks on his approach.
[A'erina]
” You dont get to tell me what to do…“ A'erina manages to unlodge her axe and stares coldly at pipino, slowly losing her self control she turns a gaze to Eupheme ” Go away, now“ the words seemingly hostile but also sounding like warnings.
[Pipino]
Pipino scrambles to her feet, her gun arm still pointing at A'erina with a shaking hand. “Don't DO this, A'erina. We'll….we'll leave, but I can't…I can't leave you if you're like this!”
[Gair]
Noticing the visible tension, guns trained on A'erina and the axe brandished and rearmed in his adoptive cousin's hands. Rather cooly does he step inbetween, the oaf he is- and draw his claymore. Interposing it between Pipino and her. “Weapons down, all of you.” He demands rather calmly.
[Eupheme]
She'd holster her weapon, once Gair had gotten the control of the situation. However, she does reload it first. Precautions, in this scenario. “She's out of control. Trying to kill Pipino. Hells if I know, why.” Eupheme seems… more stressed than usual, which would be of course for obvious reasons. Dragon slaying, and then in-fighting between friends. Too much to handle.
[Pipino]
Pipino drops her weapon and gazes at Gair rather hopefully. She does not holster her weapon though.
[A'erina]
A'erina looks at her cousin for a moment before swinging the axe at the claymore, the sound of metal scraping on metal as her swing was strong enough to knock it out of his hands. She smiles rather coldhearted as whatever is going through her mind, it had just been replaced with the realisation that she can best her cousin.
[Gair]
Gair was evidently taken off guard by the sudden strength and willingness for A'erina to swipe at his weapon, his grip admittedly wasn't prepared for his family of all people to attack him. He lets out an irritated grunt, the trained pugilist not backing down- he raises his dukes and slides his stance inbetween A'erina and Pipino. His foot moving to hook under the blade of his weapon, ready to kick it into her at a moments notice. “The hells gotten into you, you daft bitch?”
[Pipino]
Pipino stares on in a panicked sort of way, frightened tears streaming down her face without any sobs accompanying them. “Be careful, both of you!” she shouts, stepping back a bit further and gripping her pistol tightly – just in case.
[A'erina]
A'erina's breathing starts to become heavy and she stares Gair down. ” Move.“ Her voice sounding seemingly desperate” You never listen… “ she slams the axe down on the grass, chunks of dirt and grass getting flung around with the impact. ” You're all dangerous… Every single one of you…“ She coughs and a small amount of blood falls down the side of her mouth and down her chin, her perception almost non-existent at this point.” Everything I do… It's never good enough… is it.“ She let's out a rather shrill shriek ” IS IT?!“ She gets a grip on the axe again and swings it at Gair.
[Tadashi]
Hearing the gunshot, Tad slips back to where his companions had been dueling before, not recalling anyone interested holding a gun. Sizing up the scene, he sees the enraged A'erina swinging at Gair. Dashing forward, Tad attempts a strike with his arm to A'erina's neck, aiming to stun her, so she could be restrained.
[Gair]
Readied to be somewhat cheeky with his foot under his sword, Gair pushes off with his left and lashes forward with his right. Simultaneously leaping back and out of range and shoving a hefty steel greatsword her way, less a lethal option and more to simply occupy her with an object flung her way. His tone one of mounting fury as A'erina insists on imposing unwanted combat on him. “This is your last warnin', cat. I don't wanna fight you, back off.”
[A'erina]
Under normal circumstances, Tad's attempt at subduing her would have worked, but adrenaline and some other force causing her to shrug it off, like the bite of a mosquito. Turning a look back to Gair, seething with rage, the giant slab of steel he calls a weapon is tossed in her direction, unable to foresee it coming she attempts to block it with her axe, the size difference clearly obvious as the claymore knocks against it, and causes her to lose her footing for a moment.
[Pipino]
Pipino watches the scene in a state of horror, wincing and sometimes screaming every time someone tried to land a blow on a fellow fighter. Out of all the things she had seen recently that were disturbing, this disturbed her in a way that was very emotional, personal and hurtful, rather than in a mental way.
[Gair]
In spite of any movement from other intervening parties, Gair pushes forward at that moment of lost footing. Diving low for not only his claymore: but A'erina herself. Using the terrain to his advantage, he barrels through and passed to send the both of them hurtling off the edge of the sheer dropoff behind them. (Some artistic license will be taken here) An audible splash can be heard as a pair of forms dash loudly onto the shallows below. Drenched, irritated and now a little sore from the fall, he raises his claymore into a low guard- pointed at A'erina from a few generous fulms from where he fell.
[Tadashi]
Stepping out of the way of the charge Tad follows to the ledge they fell down, but shakes his head. Calling down to Gair, “I don't trust myself to help more. I don't generally fight things so small, so I don't know how much force to use, and I don't want to hurt A'erina.”
[A'erina]
Before having a chance to correct herself, A'erina is sent over the edge, her satchel falling loose and dropping some contents, most noteably her book and two full vials. Slow to get up, she manages to find her feet, the water gently rushing against her legs she reaches for the axe but stumbles to one knee, her hair being dyed a shade of crimson as she had busted her head clean open with the impact of the fall, presumably on a rock on the riverbed. She holds out a hand as the blood drips into her hand and looks up at Gair. Reaching for the axe she never breaks eyes contact and somehow manages to stand. ” Get away from me!“ she yells at him repeatedly.
[Gair]
“We're a bit late for that, Tad! She ain't right, if you can distract her- I'll see if I can't control her.” The sight of his cousin having trouble standing and bloody does much to deflate his anger, willfully does he abandon his sword by thrusting it into the riverbed.
The inner dialogue in Gair's mind chiming in with. “Your mercy will get you killed one day.”
Whether or not he can reach the axe before A'erina, Gair makes a dive to deprive her of the steel all the same.
[Luto]
Luto returns to the twin otter after hearing the gun shot, he sees the three down in the water he grabs the axe out of the tree that he tossed there before. Luto slides part way down the embankment then hops into the water with a sploosh.
“A'erina focus on me..” he says while approaching her and attempting to reach down for the axe in the water seeing if Rina makes a dash for it.
[A'erina]
Beset from two angles, A'erina notices the giant ball of fur trying to get her attention, unwavered she swiftly picks up her axe before either of them can so much as touch it and a short burst of speed sees her safely out of their reach for the moment, she drops down onto one knee again, with heavy breaths, she glares at them, not letting them out of her sight, a tighter grip on the axe this time.
[Pipino]
Pipino rushes forward, letting out a distressed cry as the fighters move to their new battleground, stopping only when she hits the bottom rung of the railing , grabbing on to it as she looks over the cliff precariously to peer down at the others to make sure they are okay. Everyone is still moving, which seems like enough for now. She pushes away and looks around for the most efficient route to get down to them, only her gaze settles on A'erina's possessions first, strewn about in the fray. She sees the book, the one A'erina would never let out of her sight, and she picks it up, quickly flipping through it for some kind of hint as to what was wrong, starting with the most recently filled page.
[Luto]
The axe getting scooped up by A'erina, Luto moves in with the axe in one hand splashing through the water, “You hold a blade toward your friends and your kin yet make no action” he taunts “Come show me your willingness to use it.” Arms open giving a big easy target “well before I die of old age.” This time dropping his axe with a sploosh. And signals Gair hoping the Lala is distracted.
[Gair]
Getting evermore wet and drenched, Gair rolls out of his dive, kicking up water and the riverbed with him as he comes to a stand. Fists raised and ready to clash with A'erina, bouncing from either foot as he breaks to her other side as Lutomis makes his taunt. Ready to intercept the Lalafel and attempt to wrestle her down and take her weapon from her.
[Tadashi]
Sighing, Tad drops into the water near the shore, putting himself on a side opposite Gair, completing a rough encirclement, but leaving an escape route for A'erina. Tugging on his gauntlets, he tosses his daggers towards the shore. “Anything useful in there Ms. Pino? Else things might get a little rough here.”
[Pipino]
Pipino shuffles madly through the book in a panic for some type of hint – some type of evidence of what was happening to her. First she changes races on accident, and now this? What was she consuming to obtain such results? She kneels down on the ground over the book, scrabbling through the pages and letting out groans of frustration as she encounters alchemical nonsense she did not understand. “Write it down in plain Eorzean, you mad woman!” she laments before trying a different tack, turning to the first page.
And there it is. “I.B. Suppresant” – a list cataloguing symptoms that match her very state, and a series of vials listed with colors, labels, and the order in which to take them. She looks around her on the ground wildly and picks up the vials, counting them and cross-referencing them against the book before grabbing them all up in her arms and running to the edge, shouting down at them. “She has a chemical suppresant! This can be cured! Try and subdue her and I will find a way down!” She then tears down the path, taking the much longer way down the hill.
[A'erina]
A'erina looks at Lutomis, his taunts aggravating her to the point she goes to make a move on him, she steps a foot forward before being aware that Tod has made his appearance in the waters too having dropped his daggers, much like Gair and Lutomis, they were now all unarmed. With very little hesitation, she lunges at Lutomis and brings the axe down on him with alot more power than everyone is accustomed to seeing from her.
[Luto]
As A'erina brings that axe down Luto dashes in quicker then his size appears to be and catching her in mid flight with an embrace and a simple “Gotcha.” As the axe bites down on his Jack of plates taking most of the punishment, he holds A'erina tight “Someone grab the weapon, shes a wiggly one!” As a bit a crimson forms around the upper shoulder were the axe struck.
[Gair]
As the charge is met by Lutomis and A'erina, the bearhug doing much to give him a clear opening. Not wasting time to just grab ahold of the axe, he chokes his grip right up on A'erina's arm and moves to wrench the lalafel-sized greataxe from her grip with the other.
[A'erina]
Refusing to let go, she flails around, her legs trying to kick what parts of the giant cat man she can reach, with her other hand punching his back ” Get off me!“ She screams repeatedly, refusing to stop.
[Luto]
Continues to hold in a firm embrace taking the kicks and punches. “That was a good swing.”
[Gair]
With a great amount of effort and Lutomis's Hrothgar-Hug as a means to keep A'erina in place. He wedges his elbow inbetween her arms and grabs for the haft of the axe- just beneath the head. And all at once he pulls the axe away and extends his arm, using the overall length of his arms to force her much shorter ones apart and render her grip unviable as he takes it from her. “Keep it up, and I'll tell Tera you're a Twelvesdamned popoto!”
[A'erina]
Her fingers slowly starting to lose grip on the axe she swipes at Gair's face with other hand, desperate to get free of this giant of a man's grip, Her strength slowly starting to wane the longer things go on, ” Put… Me.. Down… NOW!“ Her screaming at Gair and Lutomis enough to make you deaf
[Luto]
Lutos ears lay flat on his head as the screaming goes while hold A'erina “quite the set of lungs for such a small frame.” He mutters
[Pipino]
Pipino finally finds her way down to the shallows, rushing up to the group and having to fight harder against the heavy fluid, pausing before she gets too close. “I – I have them! I have the vials,” she pants. “Can…can you pin her down or something? She has to drink most of it or it will not work. She wrote it in the book.”
[Gair]
After yeeting the axe a generous distance away into the water, Gair moves in to further help restrain this savage popoto from behind. Snaking an arm around her tiny neck as he attempts to secure a rear naked choke and control her head.
[A'erina]
” Get off me!“ she wriggles and flails but apparently the seemingly brutish company she keeps proves too much for her, but that doesn't seem to let up and she continues to wildly swing at Lutomis and Gair with whatever limbs she can wrest free.
[Luto]
Taking a few bumps and bruises with his nose starting to bleed and with Gair's help he adjust so they can lower her to Pipino height “Quick, do what ya gotta do!”
[Gair]
Gair takes a number of kicks to his padded armor that covers his chest, grunting with each blow as he leans down- just wrenching harder on that choke to deprive her of blood to her head and *put her to sleep*. “Here, our best chance!”
[Pipino]
Pipino rushes up to the two much larger men, her smaller frame contrasting almost humorously against the Titans kneeling down near her. She uncorks the first bottle with her mouth and takes the opportunity to attempt to place one hand on A'erina's nose to hopefully prevent her rapidly tossing her head and force her mouth to open. She would then attempt to tip the contents in her mouth slowly enough as to not make her choke.
[Tadashi]
Chuckling, Tad steps forward to assist Ms. Pino. Pinching the nose and pulling A'erina's head back, Tod remarks “Focus on your job, and we will do ours… You haven't done this before have you?”
[Pipino]
Pipino gives Tod a slightly irritated look, not appreciating being underestimated. “And whose job is it to do any of this?” she retorts, removing her other hand and maneuvering around to allow Tad more room to assist as she continues to attempt to administer the contents of the vial.
[A'erina]
Desperate to get out of the behemoth's grasp, her energy all but spent and a numerous amount of hands seeming to grab several parts of her body like some sort of deformed squid, seeing Pipino's and Tod's hands nearing her face she tries her best several times to bite at their fingers, snarling like a hellhound in between each snap of her teeth.
[Pipino]
Feeling like it would be now or never, Pipino takes a deep breath and lets A'erina bite her finger, screaming wildly at the pain as A'erina was biting at full force. Using the advanatage of forcing a space between her teeth, Pipino makes her move to pour the drink in her mouth as she cries out, knowing her finger definitely would be a little worse for wear.
[A'erina]
having successfully managed to latch onto a finger, A'erina is blissfully unaware that her own mix is being poured into her mouth, moreso revelling for a brief moment as she has clamped down on Pipino's finger and refusing to let go. She looks at Pipino and growls like an angry wolf pup, as the mix is immediately set to work and her grip on her finger slowly starting to loosen, with a few last dire attempts, she flails a little more with her hand, hitting Lutomis to no real effect, her breathing slowing down to an almost concerning level.
[Pipino]
(retcon – I misunderstood and she only needs the one vial and not a series like I thought ) |
[Pipino]
As soon as A'erina calms down, Pipino immediately pulls her finger away from A'erina's face and backs away from the scene, letting the other three take care of her. She assesses the damage to her trembling hand, the finger bleeding freely enough that she could not fully see the wound. She sinks to the ground her breathing quickening fromt he adrenaline and the shock, feeling a bit faint looking at it all. She holds the hand away from her a bit, not really thinking about the proper way to deal with it just yet and still being aware that she did not want to get it on her clothes. “Will she be alright? Is she okay?”
[A'erina]
(Taking the reins on tidying this up now. Sorry) |
Before long, A'erina would lose conciousness, draping over Lutomis' shoulder like he had just bagged some game, the contents of the vial having clearly worked. She was almost in a coma-like state, non-responsive, her breathing and heartbeat decreased but she was still alive, which presumably was a good enough outcome for her fellowship. Taking her back to her house, Pipino finding the location within the goblet where she resides, and letting her rest.
Over the next five days, and frequent check-ins from her friends, she lay motionless most of the time, barely moving a muscle. On the sixth day she opened her eyes and and looked at her surroundings. A bandage wrapped around her head as she placed a hand on her head, as if trying to soothe a headache, she winces a little in pain.
” No… Not again.“ she says to herself, getting teary-eyed. She pulls her knees upto her chest and recalls everything she said, everything she did, she knew what she had done and the lack of control she had over herself. ” No!“ she yells as she leaps out of the bed and falls to the floor, not quite getting her balance after being bedridden for a few days. She gets her footing and finds a vial which she always labels ” I. B. S“ and drinks it down. Her lack of control supressed atleast for the moment, she decides to barricade the door so her friends couldn't check on her and sits in her chair and looks at the fireplace and stars into the flames before drifting off back to sleep.
[Gair]
(IBS, as in.. irritable bowel syndrome?) |
(I'm fucking with you, Jay. I'll respond in real soon.jpg!) |
[A'erina]
( I gave Tali the means to play with it a little, so she came up with IBS and im just rolling with it. Inner Beast Suppressant) |
[Pipino]
(I made it up as a joke because I asked Jay what A'erina would call the medicine, and he said “I dunno, you make it up” so I asked him what she would call the “Inner Beast” and he said she'd call it exactly that, so….I made a dumb joke and he let me ) |
[A'erina]
( Well, I did say it was a suppressant and you just went with that lol) |
